Kuala Terengganu is the largest city as well as the capital state of Terengganu. There are more interesting places in Kuala Terengganu that visitors have to visit. For example like Pasar Payang, Losong Museum, China Town, Pulau Duyung, Crystal Mosque, Bukit Puteri and others.
PasarPayang or the Central Market which is located by the Terengganu River is one of the most popular places in Kuala Terengganu. It is a double storey market that sells many kind of goods. The most popular goods like silk, songket and batik are the goods that visitors will buy if they come to Terengganu. At the outer of this market, we can see the fruit’s stalls that sell every kind of fruits. Keropok or crackers, asam, and snacks are sold in stalls beside the entrance too.

The Losong Museum located at Kampung Losong. It consists of a Main Museum, a Maritime Museum, a Fisheries Museum, 4 traditional houses and botanic and herbs gardens. There are 10 galleries showcasing textiles, crafts, historical, royal, nature, art, petroleum, Islamic, new generation and contemporary arts. The charge for ticket is needed if you want to enter there.

Another interesting place is China Town. China Town is actually a row of prewar old building at Jalan Kg Cina. Most of the buildings or houses here are owned by the Chinese. In this building, it has the jewelries shop, tourism office, coffee shop, souvenir shop and Chinese restaurant.

Pulau Duyung is also the tourist spots in Kuala Terengganu. It is where the venue for the Monsoon Cup is held. Pulau Duyung is famous among the local and foreign with its traditional boat making industry. The Ri-Yaz Heritage that is five stars hotel is also there. When the time of Monsoon Cup venue, this place will loaded with foreigner and tourist.

The Crystal Mosque that is located at Pulau Warisan near Losong Museum. The mosque is made by crystal. When we on the Jambatan Sultan Mahmud, we can clearly see this mosque. There are also many mosque replicas from other Islamic country.

The last one is Bukit Puteri. It is located near the Pasar Payang. It is used a long time ago as the defensive fortress. To perform the function of a protective fortress, a few units of cannon and a bell was placed. The bell served as an alarm whenever there are enemies were detected. It was also the residence for the Sultan during the early days of his ruling. On the top, we can see the panoramic view of Kuala Terengganu.
